Does helping customers meet their financial goals sound like something you would enjoy? If so, the Personal Banker position with First Bank would be a great fit for you. As a Personal Banker, you will provide excellent customer service, open and maintain customer accounts, and originate loans for customers. By pairing customers with the financial products and services they need you will help them meet their diverse financial goals such as purchasing a car, making home improvements, or making paying monthly bills not so much of a chore.Duties include:Accounts: Provide timely and quality customer service in responding to questions, concerns, and requests. Open, close and/or transfer accounts of all types including but not limited to checking, savings and certificates of deposit, retirement accounts (IRA's), business accounts, funeral escrows, and estate accounts. Input or assist with maintenance on a large variety of accounts. Debit cards issuance, lookup, and processing of disputes. Cross selling:Bring up and discuss bank products and services that may be beneficial with customers or prospective customers.Help to deepen banking relationship with existing customers and solicit prospects to the bank. Refer customers and prospective customers to other areas/departments of the bank. Loan Origination:Work with customers through the loan application process including gathering relevant information, pulling credit reports, preparing loan documents, closing the loan, and preparing it for workflow. Loan types include car, personal, holiday, time certificate secured, overdraft protection, home improvement, home equity and home equity lines of credit.Responsible for collection process of past due loans. Making direct contact with customers on the status of their loan, preparing the necessary document for repossession, knowing the process and timing of cure notices for loan.Other:Responsible for ensuring customer service is provided in a high-quality manner.As part of our overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities and areas.Other duties as assigned. To be best prepared for this position, excellent customer service and communication skills as well as confidentiality are a must. In addition, problem solving and prioritization skills will help you excel. You must have at least a high school diploma, 2 years of customer service experience and currently be NMLS registered or eligibility to be NMLS registered. Previous banking experience and a 2-year degree in business, finance or related field are preferred but not required.Hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm and rotating Saturday schedule 8:30am-11am (11 per year).First Bank is committed to our employees and customers.
