Job description

Burns Funeral Home in Elko, NV is seeking an Apprentice funeral director/embalmer/arranger to assist with all aspects of funeral services including planning, arranging, embalming, directing and client pick-up. Potential employees must possess the following qualities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong ability to evaluate and appropriately address privacy and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to act with a high degree of initiative.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Professional attitude and demeanor
  • Possess an excellent driving record.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Taken and passed the National Boards

  • Previous work in a funeral home is not required but appreciated.
