Founded in 2017, Matters Graph is a boutique strategy consulting firm specializing in Commercial Due Diligence and Value Generation. We were founded with a singular mission: to deliver rigorous, evidence-based insights that help clients acquire, grow, and build stronger businesses.
Our clients include leading private equity firms, corporate development teams, M&A professionals, and strategy leaders at some of the world's most respected organizations. Leveraging best-in-class research methodologies, proprietary primary research, and deep analytical rigor, we help clients develop and pressure-test investment theses, evaluate acquisition opportunities, and design effective value creation strategies that drive measurable results.
About this role:
Matters Graph is looking for both existing and aspiring consulting professionals who value substance over scale, and are looking for a collaborative, high-trust, and intellectually rigorous environment.
Senior Associates and Consultants (Experienced Consultants) will play critical roles in delivering client engagements by owning key workstreams, leading analysis, and helping shape client recommendations. You will serve as a leader and mentor for Associates, providing guidance, coaching, and support to incoming Associates, while continuing to develop your own leadership capabilities. At Matters Graph, your success is our success. We are committed to providing the resources, support, and opportunities you need to grow professionally while playing a meaningful role in delivering outstanding outcomes for our clients and shaping the future of our firm.
At Matters Graph, you will:
  • Serve as a core member of client engagement teams, delivering rigorous, evidence-based insights and recommendations
  • Design and execute research strategies, leveraging both primary and secondary research to evaluate markets, customers, competitors, and distribution channels
  • Conduct interviews, surveys, and other primary research activities to gather actionable market intelligence
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data used throughout the engagement lifecycle. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, identifying meaningful patterns, testing hypothesis, and distilling complex information into clear, actionable insights
  • Work with senior team members to translate research findings into compelling investment thesis, strategic recommendations, and value creation opportunities.
  • Develop high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, reports, and analytical outputs in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development through training, mentorship, and feedback
  • Coach, mentor, and support junior team members, helping them develop consulting, research, and analytical skills.
  • Lead by example, embodying Matters Graph's values, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in all aspects of your work.

What We're Looking For:
  • A demonstrated track record of academic excellence, (MBA Strongly preferred)
  • 1 - 4 years of professional experience following undergraduate studies
  • Experience in a leading strategy consulting firm, boutique consultancy, private equity fund, or similar advisory, or research-focused role
  • A passion for business, problem solving, and continuous learning
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, coupled with a positive, collaborative, and professional approach
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to take initiative and ownership
  • A desire to build a long-term career in strategy consulting and client advisory services.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in multiple languages is a plus
  • Authorization to work in the United States

What we offer:
Senior Associates and Consultants earn a competitive base salary and are eligible for performance-based discretionary bonuses tied to both individual and firm performance. The base salary for these positions ranges from $105,000 to $140,000 per year.
Benefits Include
  • Employer-sponsored healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous paid time off and company holidays, including your birthday
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions
  • Training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
  • Exposure to senior executives, private equity investors, and corporate leaders

At Matters Graph, you'll gain meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to leadership, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on both our clients and our firm's growth.
