Department: Investor Relations

FLSA Status: Exempt; Full-time

Position Title: Associate, Investor Relations

Reports To: Managing Director, Investor Relations

Location: Washington, DC

Date: July 2026

Under the direction of the Managing Director, Investor Relations, the Associate, Investor Relations is primarily responsible for supporting capital raising, client retention and consultant relations efforts for Nationalโ€™s fund offerings. Key responsibilities include performing competitive analysis; researching prospects; creating, maintaining and refining marketing materials, including pitch decks, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and offering memoranda; serving as a product expert within the Investor Relations team; participating in investor pitches and account reviews; preparing and reviewing RFP responses; crafting investor communications; and collaborating with Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, Marketing, Research, Compliance and members of senior management to help meet Nationalโ€™s capital growth objectives. The Associate demonstrates strong financial literacy, sound judgment, creativity and leadership while operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Essential Functions
  • Support capital raising, client retention and consultant relations efforts for National Real Estate Advisors as a product specialist.
  • Perform competitive analysis and market research to position fund offerings effectively with prospects, client and consultants.
  • Create, maintain and refine marketing materials including pitch decks, DDQs, offering materials and other product collateral.
  • Research prospective investors and help prepare Investor Relations and Portfolio Management team members for introductory meetings.
  • Collaborate with placement agents in maintaining a pipeline of opportunity, planning road shows and coordinating outreach to prospective investors.
  • Serve as a product expert within the Investor Relations team, maintaining fluency in our strategies, portfolio composition, market positioning and key investor considerations.
  • Draft investor communications and assist Portfolio Management with quarterly updates, investor letters, meeting follow-ups and other communications regarding fund activity, performance and strategy.
  • Help coordinate and execute periodic, fund Limited Partner Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Participate in investor pitches, consultant meetings and account reviews.
  • Assist with the client on-boarding and documentation process.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, Marketing, Research, Compliance, and senior management to ensure materials and communications support Nationalโ€™s capital growth objectives and satisfy internal review requirements.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and abide by Nationalโ€™s Regulatory Compliance Manual and Code of Ethics.
  • Periodic overnight travel is required on an as needed basis to attend meetings, complete research, and participate in other special events.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with special projects as directed.
  • Keep abreast of market conditions, industry news, and regulatory issues; continue professional development as appropriate.
  • Strict adherence to the terms and provisions as detailed in Nationalโ€™s Employee Handbook.
  • Complete compliance with Nationalโ€™s Regulatory Compliance Manual, Code of Ethics and underlying compliance policies and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate commitment to Nationalโ€™s pragmatic stewardship approach in daily business activities, including meeting our overarching fiduciary responsibilities and whenever feasible, incorporating energy and resource conservation practices to produce more profitable results for our clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A bachelorโ€™s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field is required. Post graduate work (MBA, CFA, CAIA or equivalent professional designations) will be preferred.
  • Three to five years of working experience with a strong preference for capital markets, investor relations, real estate, infrastructure, private equity and investment management experience.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills with the ability to understand and clearly articulate investment strategy, performance, competitive positioning and market considerations. Must be able to interact professionally with investors, consultants, colleagues and outside parties while multi-tasking, in a fast-paced, complex working environment.
  • Proficiency at an intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite in Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Word is required.
  • Comfort, proficiency and willingness to leverage platform approved Al tools to accomplish objectives and operate more efficiently.
  • Must be selfโ€‘motivated, possess a strong work ethic and demonstrate problemโ€‘solving, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Work Environment
  • This job primarily operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. It is a sedentary role in a professional environment; however, incumbent is required to regularly walk, sit, talk and/or hear, reach with hands and arms.
