Gen Re currently offers an excellent opportunity for Business Project Manager to work in the North America P&C Operations unit based in our Stamford, CT office. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in the office.
Role Description
Business Project Manager serves as the responsible projectmanager for multiple technology transformation projects of variable complexityfor Property and Casualty North America Underwriting and Operations. The rolewill support both active and in-flight projects as well as newly initiatedprojects. The role sits in the business unit, reporting to the PCNABusiness Transformation Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Program and Project Management and Governance
  • Lead planning and analysis activities, providing insights that shape execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to drive delivery outcomes
  • Directly manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through closure including the production and presentation of:
    • Project requests
    • RASCI matrix
    • Statements of work
    • Kickoff materials
    • Steering committee materials
    • RAID logs
    • Change logs
    • Project plans
    • Project financials
    • Risk escalation and mitigation
    • Internal gate reviews
    • Project audits
    • UAT plans

Role Qualifications and Experience
  • 8+ years project management
  • 3+ years domain experience in Property and Casualty reinsurance, Property and Casualty primary insurance, or financial services projects
  • Proven track record of directly managing multiple active projects
  • Experience delivering projects using agile, waterfall, and hybrid methods
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and vendors
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to build consensus, resolve conflicts, and drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) in good standing or equivalent
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) in good standing or equivalent
  • MS Office Suite including medium complexity Excel capabilities (PIVOT, nested IF functions)
  • MS Project
  • Azure Dev Ops (JIRA or Rally also acceptable)
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent

Salary Range
106,000.00 - 178,000.00 USD
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the US and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
