Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join our growing Civil/Site Design team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in site design, stormwater management, grading, drainage, and utility design. This position has the unique opportunity to partner with and learn from some of the best engineers, project managers, and other technical staff in the industry. Our Civil engineers are part of a site development team where they will design improvements including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management for a wide range of private and public clients throughout Virginia and the US.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of two (2) to four (4) engineers and CAD designers.
  • Be involved in leading Civil Engineering related project aspects including studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates and participate in client meetings. Projects may include planning, modeling, and design of facilities such as public and private facilities including design elements of site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide project management on various sized projects that results in successful outcomes for the client, the company, and staff. Ensure budgets and schedules are adhered to.
  • Ability to execute engineering best practices for civil engineering projects for a wide variety of clients, adapting to new environments quickly.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in engineering with a minimum of 4 years project management and a focus on civil engineering project delivery.
  • Professional Engineering License in Virginia; or the ability to become licensed within three (3) months.
  • Successful track record of project delivery through planning, preliminary and final design, including a proven track record and strong desire of providing superior client service and delivery.
  • Proven ability in leading a team of engineers and designers.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
