Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Global Supply Chain Principal Project Management Specialist/Sr. Principal Project Management Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position is on a 9/80 work schedule will be located 100% onsite in Melbourne, Florida.

The Project Manager will support major Program as a focal point for the GSC organization. They will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to; review status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepare status reports, assess project issues developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives, develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

*This is NOT a Manager OR Leadership position*

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures consistency in GSC processes and drafts work instructions and work flows, where applicable
  • Acts as a GSC focal with various program IPTs and Sub IPTs
  • Analyzes data and information to accurately build/present program-level leadership briefings focused on status and critical program milestones
  • Assists with different GSC program initiatives
  • Integrates with various GSC functional organizations
  • The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be an effective communicator and will be expected to build relationships with broader GSC organization and across program IPTs.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Project Management (Level 3):

  • Must have Bachelor's with 5 years, Master's with 3 years, or 9 years in lieu of degree in one or more of the following: project/program management, material analysis, procurement, purchasing, subcontracts, supplier management, or logistics
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience using SAP, ERP or other related business software application
  • Must have an active U.S. government Secret Clearance to apply and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret government clearance within reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs

Sr. Principal Project Management (Level 4):

  • Must have Bachelor's with 8 years, Master's with 6 years, or 12 years in lieu of degree in one or more of the following: project/program management, purchasing, material analysis, procurement, subcontracts, supplier management, or logistics
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience using SAP, ERP or other related business software application
  • Must have an active U.S. government Secret Clearance to apply and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret government clearance within reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAM experience
  • The ability to interface with all levels of employee and management
  • Program Start up experience
  • Experience in design and development
  • Proposal experience with reviewing and estimating various impacts Previous experience with FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
