Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Project Management/Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals onsite at Melbourne, FL.
Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Project Management/Principal Project Management professional/Control Account Manager (CAM) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. As a CAM, the individual will work with a technical team, leadership team and Business Management team to gather necessary information to control cost, schedule and performance of multiple statements of work. Along with forecasting of financial data and delivery of monthly program reports/presentations, the CAM will update Earned Value Management (EVM) tools and produce required data products, review monthly Earned Value (EV) data and provide detailed cost account status, and support program requirements. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. This is an individual contributor role and is not a management/leadership opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with technical leadership in a cross functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders
  • Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks simultaneously
  • Support proposal activities as needed
  • Perform Control Account Management (CAM) duties
  • Track budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline, participate in CAM status calls, prepare status for/attend weekly status meeting, provide/enter bi-monthly Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) status, support stakeholder meetings, review Actual Hours reports for time charging accuracy and alignment with IMS status.
  • On a monthly basis: calculate & enter Estimate to Complete (ETCs) into the financial system, analyze EV metrics and generate Variance Reports (VARs) as required, and attend meetings related to forecasting and spend plans for statements of work.
  • Coordinate with the scheduling team to develop and execute to an IMS
  • Coordinate Earned Value Change Requests (EVCRs) with the Business Management and Scheduling team as needed
  • Support logistics team, generate staffing requirements, documentation, and forecasts
  • Review labor resources and cost actuals on a weekly basis, taking action on any discrepancies
  • Support development of packages for Proposal and Change Requests for cost and schedule and present to Senior Leadership
  • Adhere to all internal processes for Program Management
  • Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks

Basic Qualifications for Project Management:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience in project management, OR Master's degree, with 0 years' experience in project management
  • Experience in project management and/or control account management
  • Experience with CAM and EVM methodologies
  • Experience in contracts executing full earned value management
  • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company to meet business needs

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience in project management, OR Master's degree, with 3 years' experience in project management
  • Experience in project management and/or control account management
  • Experience with CAM and EVM methodologies
  • Experience in contracts executing full earned value management
  • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Governmment Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company to meet business needs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Experience with Risk Management, Return to Green (RTG) plans, and scheduling cross functional activities
  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance with a periodic review completed in the past 5 calendar years
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization having excellent presentation skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
