Job description

This position comes with opportunities to help educate customers and our processes on best practices for healthy habitat in the landscape.
We are looking for a full time Landscape Construction Technician & Craftsman to be a part of our unique team and help execute our landscaping projects. Landscape Technicians build and install landscapes start to finish. Using machinery and hand tools to complete tasks related to landscape installation, Landscape Technicians perform duties including but not limited to excavation, moving soil & materials, planting, masonry, carpentry, pruning, and irrigation/drainage. Landscape technicians report to the Crew Lead and Project Manager assigned for their project and are responsible for fulfilling duties outlined by the Crew Lead. You will be working directly with an installation crew of 3-4 people, plus our designer and project manager through certain phases of each project. Our Craftsmen are the most experienced builders on the crew, helping to problem solve and make sure each project is completed with excellence.
Our ideal hire will have 5-20  years of experience in high end landscape construction, full abilities for hardscape installation (pavers, flagstones, rockeries, block walls), intermediate to advanced horticulture & plant ID for common landscaping plants and PNW native species, plus intermediate to advanced skills in most/all of the following: carpentry, irrigation, landscape lighting, operating machinery, metal work/welding, mechanics, or other supporting skills which would be of value to our team.
Job Requirements:
  • 10-20+ years experience in landscape construction & related trades.
  • Must be able to safely and comfortably lift a minimum of 80+lbs, and work full days outdoors in all conditions.
  • Values honesty, integrity, accountability, and quality of work.
  • Must always be alert and sober during work.
  • Able to follow verbal & written instructions and learn new skills when demonstrated.
  • Must be able to work a 10-hour day with a 30-minute lunch break plus two 10-minute breaks.
  • English fluency.
  • Current US drivers license.
  • Smart phone capable of using a time tracking/scheduling app.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Be on site and ready to work on time each scheduled day.
  • Landscape Technicians must wear a work uniform each day (sturdy shoes/boots, long pants, and reasonably clean company shirt/sweatshirt).
  • Perform duties related to building/installing landscapes, as outlined by the Crew Lead of the assigned project.
  • Remain on site and actively engaged in work duties for the full extent of scheduled shifts.
  • Report any concerns and ask questions to Crew Lead.
  • Direct client inquiries to project Crew Lead or Project Manager.

Position Details:
  • Experienced craftsmen start at $30-40/hour depending on experience.
  • 40hrs PTO/year to start.
  • 1hr/40 hours worked sick leave accrual.
  • 40 hours/week. 10hrs/day, 4 days/week (Monday-Thursday, shorter days in winter).
  • 50% company health insurance coverage available (coverage to increase as we grow).

  • Employees must show up prepared to work at the scheduled time.
  • No smoking or vaping on job sites (May smoke/vape off site during scheduled breaks).
  • Employees must be alert and sober during their shifts.
  • Employees must communicate with their supervisor if they are going to be late or absent for a scheduled shift.
  • Employees will pack a lunch and sufficient water for each workday.
  • Always be courteous and friendly to our customers and each other.
