Job description

Job Description RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Construction Project Manager in Sharon, Kansas. This is a full-time, direct-hire, field-based assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive compensation package including benefits, vacation, and holidays.

Overview of YOUR Role as a Construction Project Manager This is a unique opportunity to join a high-profile, large-scale mission-critical infrastructure program during its early planning and execution phases. As the owner's trusted representative on the ground, you will drive project success from the ground up - overseeing schedules, budgets, quality, and risk while serving as the primary point of coordination across contractors, consultants, utility providers, and permitting authorities. If you thrive in complex, fast-moving environments where your decisions directly shape project outcomes, this role was built for you.

As a Construction Project Manager, YOU Will: Oversee project schedules, budgets, risk management, and executive reporting throughout the full project lifecycle. Monitor project quality, constructability, and commissioning readiness to ensure delivery standards are met. Track critical milestones, long-lead equipment procurement, project risks, and key decisions requiring owner input or resolution.

Represent the owner's interests throughout all planning, preconstruction, and construction activities. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, utility providers, and permitting authorities to maintain alignment and drive issue resolution. Support permitting efforts and ensure compliance with all applicable jurisdictional requirements.

Support safety initiatives and drive alignment across all project teams on safety standards and protocols. Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact project schedule, budget, or delivery. YOU Are the Ideal Construction Project Manager Candidate If You Have: 8+ years of experience managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, serving as an Owner's Representative, Project Manager, Construction Manager, or client-side delivery lead.

A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred, but a bachelor's degree is required). Experience with site development, mass grading, utility infrastructure, and campus-scale projects. Strong knowledge of project controls, schedule management, cost management, change management, procurement coordination, and executive reporting.

Demonstrated experience working with permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and consultants across complex, multi-stakeholder programs. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills - you keep diverse teams aligned and moving forward. It's a BONUS If You Have: PMP, CCM, PE, OSHA, LEED, or similar professional certifications.

Experience on mission-critical infrastructure programs - data centers, energy facilities, large campus developments, or similar high-stakes project types. Familiarity with early-phase program setup, including establishing project controls, reporting frameworks, and team structures from the ground up. Experience managing owner-representative roles on programs with multiple prime contractors and consultants.

About Our Client Our client is delivering a large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure program in Kansas - a high-visibility project that is entering its critical early planning and execution phases. They are seeking a proven, senior project manager who can serve as a trusted owner's representative and help establish the foundation for successful delivery of a complex, multi-stakeholder program. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a significant infrastructure initiative from the ground up and make a lasting impact on its outcome.
