About the Role

The Manager, Software Engineering plays a key leadership role in XiFin’s growing engineering organization, leading teams that design, build, and deliver robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. This individual will drive technical excellence and foster collaboration across our onshore and offshore teams while ensuring the reliability and innovation of our SaaS-based healthcare technology platforms.

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with a proven track record of building high-performing teams, scaling cloud-based systems, and delivering enterprise-grade software products. You will balance strategic vision with hands‑on technical leadership, influencing architecture, process improvements, and talent development.

This is an onsite position at our office in Dallas, TX.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead and mentor software engineering teams, developing top talent and fostering collaboration across onshore and offshore groups.
  • Champion the adoption of AI‑assisted engineering practices and cultivate a culture of innovation
  • Continuous learning, and responsible AI use that enhances engineering productivity, software quality, and customer outcomes.
  • Build an inclusive, service‑oriented engineering culture focused on innovation, agility, and delivering exceptional value to customers.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Analytics, and IT leaders to align technical execution with business goals and customer outcomes.
  • Manage team priorities, resources, and schedules, while communicating progress and results to executive leadership.
  • Contribute hands‑on technical leadership in areas such as architecture design, coding standards, quality practices, and release processes.
  • Create and maintain an environment where data‑driven decisions guide engineering strategies and performance improvements.
  • Ensure software architecture and implementation are maintainable, scalable, and secure, supporting future growth.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and modern development methodologies.
  • Drive engineering excellence using DevOps, CI/CD, and agile best practices.
  • Promote collaboration between development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high‑quality releases

Skills and experience you have

You don’t need to check every box. We will consider a combination of education and experience, including:

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
Experience
  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 2+ years in people leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading offshore and onshore teams in a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and deploy SaaS and cloud‑based systems at scale.
  • Strong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC) management, backlog prioritization, and release execution.
  • Hands‑on technical expertise to guide and review team deliverables in design, coding, and testing.
  • Prior experience in healthcare technology or medical device industries preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Expertise Experience in developing responsive Single Page Applications (SPAs) using modern front‑end frameworks such as React, Angular, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and web services development.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Proficiency in automated testing, unit testing, and test‑driven development (TDD).
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability prevention in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Pay Transparency

At XiFin, we believe in pay transparency and fairness. The expected annual salary range for this role is: $141,250- $175,500.

Final compensation will be determined during the selection process and may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
