Dans ce role, vous developperez une comprehension technique approfondie des produits Unity en travaillant en etroite collaboration avec les equipes de developpement et avec les technologies elles-memes. Vous mettrez a profit cette comprehension, ainsi que vos competences de redaction, pour offrir du contenu qui explique clairement et qui inspire. Vous collaborerez egalement avec d'autres redacteurs et redactrices afin de creer une experience de contenu coherente et homogene d'un produit a l'autre, notamment en etablissant des normes en ce qui a trait a la couverture du contenu ainsi qu'a son style, ainsi qu'en apprenant les uns des autres, le tout pour rehausser la qualite de la redaction chez Unity.

Ce que vous allez faire

  • Maintenir du contenu technique (guides pour utilisateurs et developpeurs, references d'API, SDK, exemples de code) pour divers produits et fonctionnalites
  • Collaborer avec les gestionnaires de produit et les developpeurs afin de comprendre la technologie sous-jacente de chaque fonctionnalite, le public cible et les besoins en documentation
  • Travailler avec les membres de l'equipe pour que la documentation soit la plus claire, concise, exacte et utilisable possible

In this role, you will gain a deep technical understanding of Unity products by working closely with engineering teams and the technologies themselves. You will apply that understanding and your writing skills to maintain content that explains and inspires. You will also collaborate with other writers to build a consistent and cohesive content experience across products, to build standards for coverage and style, to learn from one another, and to elevate writing at Unity.

This is a full-time role based in Montreal or Brighton with full benefits and the option of hybrid working.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining technical content (user and developer guides, API references, SDKs, code samples) for multiple products and features
  • Partnering with product managers and engineers to understand each feature's underlying technology, target audience, and documentation needs
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure that documentation is as clear, concise, accurate, and usable as possible
  • Advocating for users during feature development to enhance workflows and make products easier to use

What we're looking for

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Technical knowledge and familiarity with software development workflows and concepts
  • The ability to distill sophisticated technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand, user-focused documentation
  • The ability to manage your time well and work in a globally distributed team, maintaining active communication with partners across timezones
