Job Description

About Wire Products Supply Wire Products Supply, located in Sherman, Texas, is a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of quality wire products. We pride ourselves on operational excellence, high safety standards, and a supportive environment for our production teams. We are looking for a highly skilled mechanic to anchor our critical second shift operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, set up, and adjust industrial wire-forming machinery.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical problems.
  • Replace and repair bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, sensors, motors, and other machine components.
  • Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain product quality.
  • Perform machine changeovers and assist operators with equipment issues.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials, equipment, parts, and finished products.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Industrial maintenance or manufacturing equipment experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical controls, motors, sensors, and VFDs is preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Forklift experience preferred; training may be provided.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and solve equipment problems.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work around industrial production equipment.
