Immigration Paralegal

Location: Clifton, NJ (On-site)
Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour, commensurate with experience
F. Montero Law is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to support our attorneys in handling a busy immigration caseload. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with EOIR proceedings and strong writing skills, and is comfortable managing multiple matters under deadline.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file applications, motions, and supporting documentation with EOIR, USCIS, and other relevant agencies
  • Draft declarations, cover letters, briefs, and other written materials with accuracy and clarity
  • Track case deadlines, hearing dates, and filing requirements through ECAS and internal systems
  • Communicate with clients to gather documents and provide case updates
  • Organize and maintain case files and evidence packets
  • Conduct factual and country-conditions research to support filings
Requirements

  • Prior experience as an immigration paralegal, including direct experience with EOIR (immigration court) matters
  • Proficient writing skills with strong attention to detail and grammar
  • Familiarity with immigration forms and filing procedures (USCIS, EOIR/ECAS)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
