Title: Sr. Microservices Developer with Unisys & COBOL background
Location: Dallas, TX
Terms: Full time/Direct Hire
Job Details:
Provide COBOL sustainment of Banking and financial system in Consumer banking area.
Subject matter expert in COBOL 75/78 and UNISYS 2200 (OS) operating system.
Responsible for developing moderately complex computer programs and associated documentation.
Ability to analyze program specifications to assure accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards.
Create unit test scripts to verify program accuracy.
Conferring with program managers or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
Provide technical solutions and assist in work estimates for implementation of both new requirements and bug fixes.
Assisting resolving complex production support problems by identifying issues and recommending, and when approved, implementing solutions.
Write well designed code, testable, efficient code for software components, units and modules that meet product specifications and development schedules.
Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
Skills: UNISYS OS, COBOL 74/85, UNISYS Shared File System, RDMS Schema and Design, SQL, ECL, IPF, CTS, FTP, SFTP.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent related technical training (or equivalent experience) plus at least five years of directly related experience.
Knowledgeable of the UNISYS 2200 (OS) Operating System.
Proficient in Unisys COBOL 75/85.
Knowledgeable of the UNISYS Shared File System (SFS).
History of working with Rationale Database Management System (RDMS) and Database Management System (DMS).
