Joining our radiology team at UAB Medicine positions you to shape the future of medical imaging and patient care at our adult Level I Trauma Center. UAB Medicine is a rewarding, exciting, and flexible place to work, one that offers endless opportunities to grow your radiologic technologist (RT) career with inpatient and outpatient imaging services at multiple campus locations. We provide an environment for growth that includes support from leadership and allows you to work with the latest equipment and procedures, such as microwave and radiofrequency ablation, the O-arm surgical imaging system, and intraoperative CT and fMRI. We support work-life balance by providing industry-leading benefits, flexible schedules, no call for most positions, and no mandatory overtime. The work location for this role is UAB Hospital-Highlands.

Job Description

Under the direction of a radiologist and the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) manager, to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. To perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to render prescribed MRI procedures as required. May be assigned duties as an interim supervisor or instructor.

Qualifications

Graduate from a Radiology educational program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently registered as a Registered Technologist with Magnetic Resonance Imaging Designation (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registered within six (6) months from date of hire for MRI eligible candidates required.
