BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking an SAP BRIM -Programmer to work in the Middletown, PA area. This is a full time position with at least 2 days on-site and
possibly 3 days remote.
As an SAP BRIM-Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining application components supporting SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) and SAP S/4HANA. This role implements features, interfaces, and data transformations aligned to approved designs, leveraging SAP best practices to minimize customization while ensuring security, performance, and audit readiness. The Programmer collaborates with BRIM SMEs, architects, and analysts across SOM, Convergent Invoicing (CI), and Convergent Charging (CC) workstreams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Development

    • Implement features and enhancements for BRIM/S/4HANA using ABAP, CDS views, OData services, and SAPUI5/Fiori.
    • Build integrations and data transformations following specifications and SAP CPI/BTP standards.

  • Integration & Data
    • Develop and consume APIs (OData/REST), IDoc/ALE, and RFCs; support event driven patterns via SAP BTP Event Mesh.
    • Assist with data migration scripts, delta load routines, and reconciliation utilities.

  • Quality Engineering
    • Write unit, integration (SIT), and UAT test cases; automate where possible.
    • Participate in defect triage and performance tuning (HANA SQL/XS).

  • Security & Compliance
    • Apply secure coding standards; implement encryption/tokenization and role based access controls.
    • Ensure solutions meet PCI DSS, SOC1/SOC2, and Commonwealth IT security policies.

  • Documentation & DevOps
    • Document technical specs, mappings, and test results in Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA.
    • Support CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and version control practices.

  • Collaboration & Support
    • Work with SMEs, architects, and analysts to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
    • Provide post go live support and knowledge transfer; log incidents/changes in ServiceNow.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of programming experience, including 2+ years in SAP environments.
  • Hands-on development with ABAP, SAPUI5/Fiori, CDS/OData, and familiarity with HANA SQL.
  • Experience integrating SAP BRIM modules (SOM, CI, CC) with S/4HANA and external systems.
  • Knowledge of secure coding, PCI DSS, SOC1/SOC2, and payment tokenization/encryption.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA and Git-based workflows.

Preferred Skills:
  • SAP BRIM or S/4HANA certifications; ABAP or SAPUI5 certifications highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP BTP (API Management, Event Mesh) and SAP CPI integration tooling.
  • Performance optimization for high-volume BRIM transactions and invoice processing.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for operational support.
  • Hybrid Agile delivery experience; ability to write clear user stories and acceptance tests.
