Industrial Sewing Machine Technician

$21.00 per hour | Full-Time | Monday-Thursday | 4-Day Work Week

Edgestone Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Technician for a well-established manufacturing facility in Brockton, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with industrial sewing, stitching, upholstery, textile, leather goods, footwear, or heavy-duty sewing machine experience who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment.

Monday-Thursday
5:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Enjoy a consistent 4-day work week with Fridays off.


Pay

  • $21.00 per hour
  • 90-day introductory period with performance review


What You'll Do

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain industrial sewing and stitching machines
  • Read and interpret work orders and production tickets
  • Adjust machine settings to meet customer specifications for height, width, thickness, and stitch quality
  • Install and adjust sewing machine components including:
    • Stitcher heads
    • Gatherers
    • Pockets
    • Three-knife trimmers
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Adjust thread tension, replace bobbins, thread needles, and lubricate moving parts
  • Monitor thread inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
  • Work closely with supervisors to maintain efficient production and meet delivery deadlines

Qualifications


Required:

  • Previous experience operating industrial sewing or stitching machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust sewing equipment
  • Ability to read work orders and follow production specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
