Location: Chatsworth
Job Type: Full-Time
Industry: Textiles / Manufacturing / Floor Coverings

Job Summary:
We are seeking a curious, adaptable, and solutions-driven Industrial Engineer or Textile Engineer to join our team. Instead of just having answers, the ideal candidate thrives on asking the right questions, breaking down complex challenges, and working collaboratively to find practical solutions. This role will support process optimization, production efficiency, and quality improvement across our textile manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe and analyze production processes and data with a problem-solving mindset to identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Conduct time studies, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support line balancing.
  • Partner with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, improve uptime, and reduce waste.
  • Assist in layout design, equipment selection, and capacity planning.
  • Lead and contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
  • Evaluate materials and textile processes to ensure consistent product performance.
  • Collaborate with R amp;D, design, and quality teams to support new product development.
  • Track key production metrics and use data to drive improvements.
  • Support capital improvement projects and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with auditing and other industry standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or textile environment (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Strong interest in problem-solving, critical thinking, and hands-on learning.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
  • Proficiency in CAD, Excel, and data analysis tools (AutoCAD, Minitab, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):
  • Exposure to carpet, rug, or nonwoven textile manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with tufting weaving, dyeing, or finishing operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.).
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or similar).
