 Established family/urgent care practice with three offices has full-time opportunities available. We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to work in our office full-time, rotating weekends and two holidays per year.  Weekend availability a must. The successful candidate enjoys interacting with patients and is meticulous about their work. 
Candidate should be able to work in a busy office setting and have the ability to prioritize workload while ultimately keeping the best interests of the patients in mind. Ideal candidate is reliable, has strong computer skills, has ability to multitask, and is a team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. 
Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is a plus. Experience with NextGen EHR preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Accurately checking in and checking out patients in an expedient manner while providing excellent customer service, compassion, and kindness
  • Verifying all patient demographic and insurance information
  • Collection of co-payments and issuing receipts for a patient's visit
  • Scanning medical documents and office forms as directed
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Ensuring a positive and professional atmosphere as a team player
  • Understand and follow all HIPAA privacy and security rules
