Job description

Position Title: Data Conversion Tech 1
TEMPORARY POSITION - Project Based
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Conversion Tech I to support the transition of patient medical records into our electronic health record (eRecord) system. In this role, you will review, convert, and validate clinical information to ensure data accuracy and completeness while maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and data integrity.
The ideal candidate has experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs), strong data entry skills, and a solid understanding of medical terminology.
Education:
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Medical terminology course preferred
License/Certifications: None
Experience:
Minimum: 1 yr prior experience in healthcare related field utilizing Electronic Medical Record system.
Preferred: 1 yr Prior experience as a nurse or medical assistant with clinical data entry responsibilities and medical terminology.
Other:
Minimum: Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly to staff, physicians, patients and visitors. Must demonstrate proficiency in typing as well as data entry.
Preferred:
Responsibility Summary: The data conversion tech is responsible to convert patient data from hospital's current medical record system into eRecord. Reviews clinical data to ensure conversion accuracy and medical record completeness. Updates patient demographic information as necessary. Performs various clerical/support functions in conjunction with the completion and processing of all types of records including electronic. Performs other tasks as assigned.
