Job Title: Systems & Network Administrator (Ubiquiti UniFi Network)
Location: Encino, CA (on-site position)
Employment Type: Full-Time position(40 hours/week)
Compensation: $40 - $55/hour W2 + Comprehensive Employee Benefits Package(Please Note: Starting base pay amount is based on the extent of position-relevant experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable, proactive, and service-oriented Network & Systems Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's internal IT infrastructure, network environment, user systems, cloud-based platforms, telecommunications systems, and employee technology support operations.

In addition to general systems and network administration expertise, this role requires practical experience with Ubiquiti/UniFi environments, RingCentral administration, Google Workspace administration, device management platforms, SaaS administration, onboarding/offboarding processes, workstation deployment, and overall IT support operations.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Hands-on professional experience in Network and Systems Administration, preferably within a startup environment.
  • Hands-on experience with RingCentral / RingCX or comparable phone systems.
  • Proactive and highly adaptable, possessing strong troubleshooting skills while supporting employees in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively balance technical knowledge with professionalism when communicating with a variety of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Be comfortable supporting both infrastructure and end users while taking ownership of any additional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Network Administration

  • Administer and support Ubiquiti UniFi network environment, including routing, switching, wireless networking, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VLANs, and VPN connectivity.
  • Monitor network performance, uptime, and security while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Assist with implementation and optimization of network architecture and infrastructure improvements.

B. Systems Administration & IT Operations Support

  • Administer and support company systems, SaaS platforms, cloud applications, and employee technology environments.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot employee workstations, laptops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Perform software installations, system updates, patch management, and hardware upgrades as needed.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes including provisioning and deprovisioning user access across company systems and platforms.
  • Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of company-issued hardware and IT assets.

C. Platform Administration

  • Administer and support:
    • Google Workspace
    • RingCentral / RingCX
    • Salesforce
    • Box
    • JumpCloud or similar MDM/identity management platforms (JumpCloud strongly preferred)
    • Assist with user account management, permissions, licensing, access controls, and security settings across systems.
    • Support integrations, workflows, and operational improvements across platforms where applicable.

D. Technical Support & End-User Engagement

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware, software, networking, telecommunications, and account access issues.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets and internal IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to employees with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism when supporting staff across departments.

E. Security & Compliance

  • Support company cybersecurity initiatives, access control policies, and endpoint security standards.
  • Assist with implementation and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of company systems, data, and user information.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with office IT setup, conference room technology, phone systems, and remote user support.
  • Document technical processes, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Perform additional IT-related duties and projects as assigned.
  • Occasional after-hours maintenance or Emergency troubleshooting when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of hands-on professional experience in Network Administration, Systems Administration, IT support, or similar.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Network Administration, Systems Administration, Hardware and Software troubleshooting, Endpoint/device management, User account administration, and Cloud-based business systems
  • Hands-on professional experience Administering Ubiquiti/UniFi network environments and RingCentral environments.
  • Experience within Google Workspace Administration and Box Administration and/or user support.
  • Experience with JumpCloud or similar MDM/identity management platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce administration and user support.
  • Experience provisioning and deprovisioning employee system access.
  • Experience setting up, deploying, and maintaining employee workstations and IT equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to technical and non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Network Engineering / Administration, or similar.

Certifications:

  • Active RSCA certification (OR ability to obtain within first 30-60 days)
  • Active RingCX certification (OR ability to obtain within first 30-60 days

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, or cloud certifications.
  • Experience supporting telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Experience working in an office-based corporate environment supporting internal employees.
  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices and endpoint security solutions.
  • Familiarity with ticketing/help desk systems and IT documentation practices.
