Job description

Celerity Integrated Services, a telecommunications/construction company based in Quakertown, PA, is currently looking for an experienced FT Telecom Lineman to do both aerial and underground work in our Construction department. Celerity provides free health insurance for all full-time employees.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor for telecommunication construction projects
Assists in providing support to other construction technicians to facilitate efficient workflow
Hauls and hoists materials as needed
Responsible for organization of tools
Responsible for trimming trees and clearing brush at job sites
Assists in confined space entry
Assists with traffic control services in work zones
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
Communicates effectively with other team members and supervisory personnel

Physical and Other Requirements
The employee must regularly carry, move, push, pull, install, and/or remove tools and equipment weighing up to 95 pounds. The employee must be physically able to safely operate a variety of machinery and equipment including shovels, rakes, sledgehammers, pickaxes, excavators, plows, trenchers, company vehicles, and other telecommunications or construction equipment.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license: CDL-A a plus but not required
    Two years of telecommunications field experience a plus
    Forklift/heavy equipment operator experience; certification preferred
    Flagger certification (or obtained within six months of hire)


Working Conditions
Employee will regularly work outdoors in various weather conditions. The successful candidate for this position will be able to work at elevated heights, in manhole systems and confined spaces and operate heavy machinery. May be required to be "on call" at various times, travel and overnight stays may be necessary from time to time.
