Job description

Low Voltage / Intercom Installation Technician
Location: Houston, TX (Cy-Fair ISD Projects)
Schedule: Full-time


Talent Corps is seeking experienced Low Voltage Installation Technicians to support school district projects in the Houston area. This position will focus primarily on intercom system installation and related low-voltage work.


Responsibilities:

  • Run and secure low-voltage cabling
  • Install and trim out intercom devices
  • Install speakers, volume controls, call buttons, and related equipment
  • Read and follow project drawings and installation plans
  • Test installed devices and troubleshoot basic issues
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule


Qualifications:

  • Experience with low-voltage installation projects
  • Experience pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling
  • Familiarity with intercom, communications, access control, security, or structured cabling systems
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic testing equipment
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project sites
  • Ability to work in schools and occupied facilities while maintaining professionalism


Preferred Experience:

  • School, healthcare, or commercial project experience
  • Structured cabling experience
  • Access control, CCTV, or fire alarm installation experience
  • OSHA 10 certification is a plus


Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for technicians who are comfortable working in the field, can run cable with minimal supervision, and have experience installing and trimming out low-voltage devices. Candidates with backgrounds in structured cabling, intercom systems, security systems, access control, or fire alarm installation are encouraged to apply.
