Job description

Role: Agile Business Analyst

18-month contract

Hybrid: 3 days per week required at Falls Church VA

In-person interview needed / No Layers / Fulltime role only

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Agile Business Analyst with a strong background in Agile methodologies, business analysis, and requirements management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in Scrum-based environments, collaborating with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements, and supporting the software development lifecycle through testing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as an Agile Business Analyst within Scrum-based development teams.
  • Apply Scrum, Agile, Scaled Agile (SAFe), and Kanban methodologies to support project delivery.
  • Organize, prioritize, and maintain sprint backlogs and product backlogs.
  • Translate client and product strategy requirements into detailed application requirements and user stories.
  • Analyze and document business processes and system processes.
  • Develop and document high-level test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  • Execute test cases and support application testing activities.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum concepts and methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Scrum, Agile, Scaled Agile (SAFe), and Kanban methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience organizing and maintaining sprint and product backlogs.
  • 5+ years of experience translating business and product strategy requirements into application requirements and user stories.
  • 5+ years of experience documenting test strategies, test plans, test cases, and executing test cases.
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and documenting business and system processes.
  • Strong understanding of multi-tiered applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior State / Govt IT Business Analyst experience is highly desired.
