Job description

Location: Montreal Employment type: Regular, full-time Department: Technology Start date: Immediate About us We are an established fintech company that has spent decades pairing sophisticated technology with exceptional people to build and operate data-intensive financial platforms. We prize autonomy and the ability to move quickly when an opportunity appears, and we back our own decisions with our own resources. Our engineering culture is built on respect, curiosity, and open minds.

The people who do well here share our conviction that how we work matters as much as what we build. This is a place of high expectations, integrity, and innovation, where challenging the consensus is encouraged rather than tolerated. We are looking for several passionate Software Developers to join our team.

In this role you'll build critical software that powers the collection, transformation, and delivery of the real-time data that drives our platform. You'll be surrounded by cutting-edge technology and senior engineers, giving you an ideal environment to grow and succeed. How you'll make an impact Build scalable, high-performance software grounded in solid engineering practices.

Lead and contribute to discussions on implementation, testing, and software architecture. Partner with operations and platform teams to keep production systems running in top condition. Research emerging technologies and apply them to strengthen our core systems.

Drive projects end to end and take the lead on new initiatives. Work closely with fellow developers to untangle difficult design and coding problems. Handle complex real-time data feeds while safeguarding their accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Translate technical challenges, trade-offs, and options into clear terms for internal stakeholders, helping them make well-informed decisions. Requirements What you bring to the team A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field. 2 to 10 years of experience building software systems.

A solid grasp of software engineering principles and best practices. Strong, hands-on knowledge of Python or C++ (experience with both is an asset). Genuine enthusiasm for fintech and an interest in how world events shape the systems and data we work with.

Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on data quality and correctness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences. Bonus points for experience with any of the following: Redis, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, Kafka, MongoDB, ELK, Docker, TCP, HTTP, Regex.

Experience with relational databases is an asset. Benefits Amazing perks that add up to over $20,000 in cash in your pocket + aggressive bonuses!
