What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs for multiple commercial construction projects.
- Conduct regular job site inspections, audits, and safety assessments to identify and eliminate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee training programs.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, permits, and regulatory records.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with all project safety requirements.
- Stay current on changes to safety regulations and industry standards while recommending continuous improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably within commercial or industrial construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and risk management.
- OSHA 30 certification required; CHST, CSP, or other professional safety certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience conducting safety training, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety reporting systems.
