Description
CERTEX USA is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Wire Rope Assembler to join our team in Bakersfield, responsible for fabricating, inspecting, and assembling various rope products to meet high-quality standards and customer specifications.
Position Overview
Assembler/Fabricators accurately identify different diameters, constructions, and best possible applications for an array of products that are utilized in industries like construction, energy, mining, crane operation, space and aeronautical, deep-sea recovery and rescue. Items assembled may be constructed with wire, chain or synthetic material.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties
  • Review, interpret drawings and blueprints and capacity tables
  • Understand codes and specifications as outlined on order tickets
  • Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies
  • Splicing wire rope and fabricating chain slings
  • Understanding and operation of industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts
  • Attach proper tags and labels to products
  • Maintain Inventory Records
  • Report defective or substandard material supplies or product
  • Shipping and receiving of goods
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines
  • May be required to assist with deliveries when needed
