Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Lorien Columbia, you will provide comprehensive, compassionate, and resident-centered nursing care that promotes the health, safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents. As a key member of the clinical team, you will oversee and coordinate patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, and help ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and resident satisfaction.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to delivering outstanding care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.
In this role, you will:
  • Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate resident care in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions safely and accurately.
  • Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
  • Lead and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs), and other care team members.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, residents, and families to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
  • Participate in care planning, discharge planning, and resident assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations and standards of practice.
  • Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education, guidance, and support to residents, families, and staff members.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and compassionate environment that enhances quality of life.

  • Schedule: Days, Evenings and Nights
  • Every-other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Maryland RN license, valid and in good standing
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation.
