POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who provides patient care in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The emphasis in the clinic is with oncology and hematology patients, therefore a good understanding of these disease conditions is required. The Registered Nurse prioritizes patient needs, coordinates patient care, and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Desired:
  • One year of acute nursing experience in an Oncology setting
  • Recent Infusion clinic experience
  • Recent Chemotherapy administration experience

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
  • Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Chemotherapy certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Current CPR recognition

Desired:
  • Current OCN certification

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Familiarity with venous access devices preferred. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
