Job description

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Accepting experienced RNs or Fall 2026 Graduate Nurses.

Not accepting Spring 2027 Graduate Nurses at this time.

(5B) is a 32-bed unit. This unit consists of various GYN surgical procedures, Men and Women bariatric weight loss surgical procedures, colon resections and other minor colon surgeries, and general medical patients.  Additional patients served include various GYN conditions, GYN/Oncology, Obstetrical Complications, Mother/Baby Couplets, post-partum Nurse to patient ratios is 1:5-6 and PCA to patient ratios 1:6-8.  All staff work 12-hour shifts, 0630 to 1900 and 1830 to 0700, which includes alternating weekends and holidays.

UP TO $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE for nightshift only -NO CONTRACT

  • 1-2 years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $13,000

  • 3-4 years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $15,000

  • 5+ years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $20,000

    • Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 per year

  • $3000 Relocation Assistance for full time only

  • Weekend Differential

  • Shift Differential for qualifying hours between 3pm-7am

  • Weekend Option Days: WEO rates + weekend differential

  • Weekend Option Nights: WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential

  • New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $10.00 RN

  • PTO/Vacation Time Frontload Up to 80 Hours for Experienced RNs for full time only
