Job description

MDS Coordinator (RN/RNAC) | $90,000-$100,000 

Join Ginger Cove, a premier CARF-accredited life-care retirement community in beautiful Annapolis, Maryland.

We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as our next MDS Coordinator. If you enjoy clinical documentation, quality improvement, care planning, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a consistent daytime schedule.

Schedule:

Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Primarily day shift hours Weekend on-call rotation as assigned

Salary:

$90,000-$100,000 annually

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and complete all MDS assessments and resident care plans
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Lead interdisciplinary care plan meetings with residents and families
  • Monitor CMS Quality Measures and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and rehabilitation teams
  • Support Medicare reimbursement accuracy through complete documentation
  • Participate in QAPI initiatives and survey readiness
  • Assist with policy development, clinical documentation, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Help maintain compliance with federal and state regulations

Job Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland 
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • MDS experience required
  • Strong knowledge of MDS regulations and submission process
  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
