Job description
As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to drive solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.
As a Blue Senior Workstation Controller, you'll bring your analytical, technical, Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) and Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) expertise as you work as member of the Blue Senior Control Cell. You'll provide expert simulation control for Warfighter Exercises (WFX), including applying Rules and Work Arounds, supervise work cells and response cells, ensure realistic constructive simulations via WARSIM and JLCCTC platforms, work closely with Senior Red Control, and the Exercise Control Group (ECG) to ensure WARSIM conditions facilitate training. Develop and train new hire workstation controllers.
You'll oversee the constructive training work we do for MCTP and the solutions we deliver for the Army's Warfighter program.
Responsibilities:
- Train and supervise rotational unit personnel replicating command structures during exercises.
- Instruct work/response cell personnel on WARSIM Battle Space Workstation (BSWS) and JLCCTC platforms.
- Provide technical guidance on Army Mission Command Systems, including Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE) and Command Post of the Future (CPOF).
- Support Exercise Control and Database teams in developing system files for training events.
- Collaborate with Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/Ts) and S-33 to execute Unit Training Events and assist in operational planning.
- Conduct database reviews and simulation platform testing prior to WFXs.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans for JLCCTC instruction.
- Oversee work cell operations during exercises to ensure simulation realism.
- Generate Work Cell reports for After Action Review (AAR) development.
- Implement workarounds for combat functionality gaps in JLCCTC.
- Resolve simulation anomalies and escalate issues through Senior Control as needed.
- Provide detailed feedback and contribute to Contractor's Exercise AARs.
Requirements:
- Significant experience as a MCTP Workstation Controller.
- Former field grade officer. Can be a senior Warrant Officer, (W-4/5) or Sergeant Major (E9).
- Successfully served in a key developmental position at brigade/battalion level (i.e., Executive Officer, S-3, Operations Sergeant Major, etc.).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint software.
- Familiar with all current Army and Joint regulation and publications applicable to this position prior to employment.
- BS/BA degree.
- Military Education Level (MEL) 4 CGSC or Warrant Officer or SGM's equivalent.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is required.

- War College (MEL1) Graduate or equivalent
