• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations with clients to determine their mental health status and to develop effective treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to individual client needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness approaches.
• Maintain regular appointments with clients, offering consistent support, goal-setting, and progress monitoring to facilitate their journey towards recovery.
• Collaborate closely with external healthcare providers and community resources, making appropriate referrals when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document clinical notes and treatment plans within our electronic health record (EHR) system, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Our client base is diverse, including individuals dealing with a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with both individuals and groups, providing tailored therapeutic support to foster resilience and coping strategies. You will engage with clients from various backgrounds, requiring cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively address their unique experiences and challenges.

• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in counseling techniques and patient engagement.
• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.

• Experience providing culturally informed therapy, with a focus on group and individual counseling.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex client situations and provide crisis intervention, showing maturity and good judgment.
• Established skills in rapport-building and effective communication with clients from diverse backgrounds.

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
