• Conduct a variety of comprehensive mental health assessments to ascertain the unique needs of each patient and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific conditions.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to deliver effective therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, providing an inclusive environment for discussing common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrist and psychologist colleagues to ensure coordinated care and address all aspects of patient wellness.
• Provide crisis intervention services to patients in mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and immediate support as needed.
• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, the therapeutic process, treatment options, and resources available within the community.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation that meets legal, ethical, and organizational standards, utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Engage in bi-weekly case consultations and attend team meetings to enhance clinical skills and maintain alignment with organizational goals.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to apply innovative treatment methodologies in practice.

The licensed mental health therapist will work with a diverse clinical population, focusing on individuals facing various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. This role requires sensitivity and adaptability in addressing the unique backgrounds and needs of each patient.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current licensure as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and crafting practical treatment plans.
• Skilled in providing individual and group therapy to varied populations, with a focus on building rapport and fostering trust.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal abilities, and sound ethical judgment.
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• A collaborative mindset for working within a multidisciplinary team.

• At least 2 years of experience in clinical mental health counseling or therapy, preferably within an outpatient setting.
• Experience implementing group therapy and psychoeducational programs to enhance community engagement and support.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and protocols.
