As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Head Start, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with interdisciplinary medical team members to address various patient care issues and contribute to holistic treatment plans.
• Developing and maintaining accurate clinical documentation and charting to comply with healthcare regulations and company policies.
• Providing individual psychotherapy, marriage, and family therapy services, tailoring interventions to meet specific client needs.
• Facilitating referrals to appropriate group therapy, psychiatric medication management, psychological testing, and substance abuse services as needed.
• Engaging in crisis management and follow-up on patient no-shows in adherence to departmental protocols.
• Contributing to performance improvement initiatives within the mental health department and actively participating in relevant committees or task forces.
• Engaging with the community by representing the organization at events and professional groups, fostering collaboration and outreach.
• Managing non-patient care responsibilities, including necessary paperwork for programs such as PAIR.
• Coordinating treatment plans using proprietary software, ensuring updates and progress are regularly reviewed and documented.
• Taking on additional responsibilities as required to meet the goals of the program.

Your role will primarily involve working with youth and their families, many of whom are navigating complex mental health challenges. You will utilize evidence-based practices to guide therapy sessions, employing techniques that foster communication and engagement among family members. By addressing the unique needs of each client, you will significantly contribute to their overall mental wellness and emotional stability.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• A current license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience working in a community mental health setting, specifically with youth and family dynamics.
