Position Overview

The Adorn Life Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote role focuses on providing specialized mental health support to individuals grappling with the effects of trauma. Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work arrangement that supports a healthy work-life balance while ensuring comprehensive mental health services are available to our clients. While working from home, you will remain integrated within a multidisciplinary team through regular virtual meetings and collaborative sessions, ensuring seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, thereby identifying effective and personalized treatment strategies.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on goals related to trauma recovery, emotional resilience, and overall mental health improvement.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma experiences and cultivate effective coping mechanisms.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other specialists to coordinate integrated care for each patient, enhancing treatment efficacy.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in the event of trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and stability.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, adaptive coping strategies, and resources available for ongoing support and recovery.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with professional standards, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Attend regular case consultations and team meetings to contribute to ongoing education and development in trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is centered around serving individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including survivors of domestic abuse, veterans, and individuals managing significant stressors resulting in complex trauma, PTSD, and related dissociative disorders. By tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of these populations, you will play a crucial role in fostering safety, growth, and recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure in the state as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a preference for candidates who have direct experience in trauma-focused therapies.
  • A strong background in trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building strategies is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • Skills in crisis intervention and a calm demeanor in high-stress situations are essential.
Compensation and Benefits
