Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexible scheduling to accommodate varying client needs. As part of our outpatient facility, you will collaborate with a diverse team of therapists, psychiatrists, and case managers who are unified in the goal of providing integrated care to our clients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and evaluate mental health issues, formulating personalized treatment plans based on client goals.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Engage in collaborative case discussions with fellow team members to coordinate care, share insights, and refine treatment strategies.
• Educate clients’ families about mental health issues and treatment protocols, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.
• Maintain compliance with confidentiality regulations by accurately documenting clinical interactions and treatment progress in a secure electronic health record system.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices and emerging research in the field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist at New Hanover Care Wellness, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and age groups. Our clients may be experiencing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will play a vital role in providing culturally competent care, helping to break stigma and barriers faced by those seeking mental health support.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• Demonstrated competency in the field through specialized training or extensive professional experience in mental health counseling.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices applicable to a wide array of mental health disorders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support clients through their therapy journey.
• A commitment to ethical principles and confidentiality as guided by regulatory standards.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing teletherapy or remote counseling services.
• Familiarity with integrated care models that involve collaboration with healthcare providers.
• Background in working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or individuals with substance use disorders would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

• A competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
