About the Organization

Dynamic Psychological Therapy is a community-focused health clinic based in Hawthorne, California. Our mission is to improve the mental well-being of our clients through accessible and high-quality psychological services. We are committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that empowers counselors to excel in their roles and make a notable impact on patient outcomes.

Work Environment

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will work from the comfort of your home, allowing for optimal flexibility in your schedule. Our team utilizes a comprehensive therapy platform that functions as your virtual office, empowering you to conduct video sessions, manage client communications, and create personalized treatment plans efficiently. The supportive administrative and technological backing ensures you can focus on what truly matters โ€” your clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions via secure video chat to help clients articulate emotions, set personal goals, and improve their mental health.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, facilitating open discussions about their experiences and relational dynamics.
  • Assess clients' mental health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans using evidence-based approaches and your clinical expertise.
  • Act as a client advocate, guiding them in defining and achieving their mental health goals while monitoring their progress.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of session details and treatment plans using our all-in-one counselor dashboard, minimizing administrative overhead.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a population of carefully screened clients, predominantly stable adults with low acuity mental health needs. Our team ensures that clients are matched with counselors based on their specialties and demographic preferences, allowing you to provide the most effective and relevant support. By focusing on non-severe mental health cases, you can apply your skills to contribute positively to their wellness journeys.

Qualifications
  • A completed Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Must possess full licensure by the state board, maintaining good standing to practice independently. Acceptable licenses include:
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
    • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a sympathetic and empathetic nature are essential for connecting with clients and understanding their needs.
  • Proficient in technology and comfortable using digital platforms for teletherapy as part of the counseling process.
Preferred Experience
  • While a Bachelorโ€™s degree is a minimum requirement, a Masterโ€™s degree in a relevant field is preferred to enhance your knowledge and capability to provide comprehensive care.
  • Experience working with adult clients or in remote counseling settings will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with solution-based therapy approaches, and a strong understanding of client-centered practices will further your effectiveness.
Compensation and Benefits

Dynamic Psychological Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and hours worked. Our compensation package includes:

  • Weekly direct deposit for consistent cash flow.
  • Monthly healthcare stipends for full-time counselors to support your health needs.
  • Minimal paperwork so you can devote your time to your clients.
  • An unlimited referral system to ensure you're continually engaged with clients based on your availability.

At Dynamic Psychological Therapy, we believe in fostering professional development. Counselors are encouraged to pursue continuing education opportunities, participate in supervision, and engage in peer reviews. With the potential for full-time transition, counselors can grow within the organization, taking on leadership roles or specializing in specific therapy areas.
