Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, tailoring approaches based on the patient's unique context, especially in hospice settings.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based methodologies, ensuring clarity and adaptability based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
  • Provide therapeutic services through individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions, leveraging a range of techniques suited to the diverse needs of our clientele.
  • Administer psychological tests and analyze the results to inform diagnostic impressions and treatment directions, utilizing your expertise in psychological assessment tools.
  • Foster collaboration with other healthcare professionals, such as social workers and psychiatrists, to coordinate comprehensive care plans for patients facing multilevel challenges in a hospice environment.
  • Engage in crisis intervention strategies, providing immediate support to individuals in distress and facilitating referrals to appropriate services when necessary.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and client progress in compliance with regulatory standards and clinic protocols.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in psychology, contributing to discussions that refine our clinicโ€™s practices and enhance client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients in hospice care, addressing a range of mental health issues typically associated with chronic illness, end-of-life concerns, and grief. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients facing complex emotional and psychological challenges, ensuring they receive holistic support tailored to their individual circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a psychologist, permitting independent practice.
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience, specifically within a clinical setting that services patients with serious health challenges.
  • A strong foundation in psychological theories and practices, with a focus on assessment and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Proven proficiency in diagnosing mental health conditions and crafting effective treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
