Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services is actively looking for a passionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of emotional, behavioral, and relational issues affecting patients, ensuring that all aspects of their mental well-being are evaluated.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients, swiftly addressing immediate mental health needs and ensuring safety.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that consider each client's specific circumstances and goals, regularly reviewing effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering healthier relationships.
  • Take an active role in team meetings, sharing insights and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall treatment plan for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation regarding patient progress, treatment plans, and therapeutic outcomes in compliance with all relevant regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on clients struggling with substance abuse alongside co-occurring mental health challenges. You will work with diverse individuals, couples, and families, each facing unique situations and requiring tailored therapeutic interventions. Our commitment to a culturally competent approach ensures that you will engage with clients from various backgrounds and with distinct experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • Possession of an active Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of Oregon is essential.
  • At least two years of professional experience in a similar therapeutic role is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, and family dynamics counseling.
  • A solid understanding of individual and family life course development stages is critical for effective therapy.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with substance abuse populations and dual diagnosis clients will be highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is beneficial.
