Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services is actively searching for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about helping individuals and families navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, including substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. As an LMFT, you will play a critical role in improving the quality of life for your patients by addressing relational and interpersonal dynamics within familial and couple contexts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic counseling and crisis intervention for clients facing emotional and behavioral challenges, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Conduct thorough individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques.
  • Carry out comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments to identify clientsโ€™ needs and progress.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client objectives.
  • Actively contribute to a multidisciplinary treatment team by sharing insights and collaborating on comprehensive care strategies for clients.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and client progress in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will primarily work with a diverse client base including individuals, couples, and families grappling with substance abuse issues and associated mental health challenges. Our practice supports clients from various backgrounds, emphasizing cultural competence and the integration of numerous therapeutic methodologies tailored to meet unique client needs.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • An active and unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience providing therapy, particularly in settings addressing substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated clinical proficiency in conducting psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, and creating collaborative treatment plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of life span development, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based practices relevant to marriage and family therapy.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment.
