Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate evidence-based therapy sessions, both individually and in group settings, helping participants navigate their issues using proven methodologies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to coordinate holistic care for clients and ensure all aspects of their well-being are addressed.
  • Engage and educate family members about the therapy process, providing them with the tools to support their loved ones effectively along their healing journey.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation of all client interactions, adhering to regulatory, ethical, and legal standards in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT with Center Pointe, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client population, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clients often present issues such as relationship struggles, communication barriers, and family dynamics. You will help clients develop coping strategies, improve their interpersonal relationships, and enhance their overall mental health and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build a strong rapport with clients and facilitate a trusting therapeutic relationship.
  • Empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clientsโ€™ life experiences and struggles, fostering an environment conducive to healing.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle a varying workload effectively while ensuring timely documentation and follow-ups.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a community health setting, with a focus on providing marriage and family counseling.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and methodologies in psychotherapy, including CBT, DBT, or family systems therapy.
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to address comprehensive client care.
