• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to identify the needs and challenges of each patient, taking into account their medical histories and existing co-occurring conditions.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that address both psychological and medical needs, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring that therapy approaches are tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances and cultural background.
• Collaborate effectively with medical doctors, psychiatrists, and other health care providers to ensure seamless coordination of care that enhances treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention services to support patients during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring their immediate safety and emotional stability.
• Educate patients on the relationship between mental and physical health, empowering them to take an active role in managing their conditions and overall wellness.
• Maintain thorough and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and ongoing training sessions to remain abreast of advancements in integrated care practices.

Your work at Arbor Health Care Services will primarily involve adolescents and adults experiencing a wide array of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, and individuals with complex needs arising from medical co-morbidities such as chronic pain and substance use disorders. Our focus is on providing compassionate care that addresses both the psychological and physiological facets of health.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• Proficient understanding of the mental health needs associated with patients facing co-occurring medical conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
• The ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
• Experience utilizing electronic health records and relevant clinical software.

• Experience in a community health setting or working with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of integrated care models and practices.
• Previous experience in leading group therapy sessions is advantageous.
