Welcome to TELUS Digital - where innovation drives impact at a global scale. As an award-winning digital product consultancy and the digital division of TELUS, one of Canada's largest telecommunications providers, we design and deliver transformative customer experiences through cutting-edge technology, agile thinking, and a people-first culture.
With a global team across North America, South America, Central America, Europe, and APAC, we offer end-to-end expertise across eight core service areas: Digital Product Consulting, Digital Marketing Services, Data & AI, Strategy Consulting, Business Operations Modernization, Enterprise Applications, Cloud Engineering, and QA & Test Engineering.

Location & Flexibility
This role can operate remotely in the United States with required travel to client sites and data collection locations.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead day-to-day execution of onsite and field data collection projects, ensuring delivery against client expectations, timelines, and budget. This is a client-facing, data-driven, and solution-focused role for someone with strong critical thinking, technical curiosity, and comfort operating in dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environments - including client programs where goals and workflows are still being defined.
The Project Manager, who reports into the Program Manager, owns turning program strategy into actionable day-to-day plans and delivering them on the ground, escalating program-level risks and decisions upward as needed.
Responsibilities
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Own project execution and delivery milestones for one or more onsite/field data collection projects.
  • Translate program strategy set by the Program Manager into actionable, day-to-day project plans.
  • Own the project-level lifecycle - planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery - against client expectations, timelines, and budget.
  • Identify and resolve risks related to staffing and logistics, escalating program-level risks or decisions to the Program Manager.
  • Translate abstract or evolving client needs into concrete, actionable workflows on the ground.
Client Management & Communication
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for the project.
  • Lead client calls and Weekly Status Reports (WSRs), including data analysis, performance insights, and stakeholder updates.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and incorporate client feedback in real time.
  • Support day-to-day client relationship health, flagging satisfaction, risk, or growth signals up to the Program Manager.
Financial & Operational Oversight
  • Track and report project financials to the Program Manager, ensuring alignment to budget and forecast.
  • Manage landlord contracting and payment coordination for onsite facilities.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation - project plans, process maps, SOPs, and meeting notes.
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead Project Coordinators and Schedulers, delegating tasks and ensuring alignment to project goals.
  • Partner with Sourcing/Talent Acquisition to secure appropriate talent across staffing models, including full-time, part-time, and crowd-based collectors.
  • Drive consistency and performance across distributed project teams, including crowd-based contributors where applicable.
Onsite Operations & Quality
  • Monitor onsite project health through moderator check-ins and real-time site oversight.
  • Provide real-time feedback based on client needs, and escalate quality or equipment issues promptly.
  • Ensure site readiness, safety, and compliance standards are met at all data collection locations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant experience accepted in place of formal education.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in onsite/field operations, data collection, or a technical/global services environment. Experience managing crowd-based or community operations preferred. Familiarity with robotics or data collection programs preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; working knowledge of data dashboards preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum and/or PMP certification a strong plus.
  • Strong operational leadership in complex, fast-scaling environments.
  • Effective client communication and expectation management.
  • Balances execution with financial and timeline constraints.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and providing structure day-to-day.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and autonomy.
  • Recommends best practices, tools, and process improvements to enhance delivery.
