• Conduct initial assessments to establish clients' mental health status and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy strategies tailored to each client's unique struggles and goals.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing clients with evidence-based coping mechanisms and support.
• Employ crisis intervention techniques, remaining composed and effective in high-stress situations to ensure client safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive care approach, including referrals to psychiatrists or other specialists as needed.
• Document progress notes and treatment updates promptly in EHR systems, maintaining a clear and accurate clinical record.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Pure Life Psychotherapy Services, you will engage with a diverse range of clients, each with unique needs. Your experience will enable you to work effectively with individuals facing challenges such as substance use disorders, anxiety, depressive disorders, trauma, and eating disorders. Your cultural competence will allow for a more personalized approach to therapy, ensuring that treatment is both relevant and effective.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.
• Minimum of four years of experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting, with a focus on clients from varied backgrounds.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Ability to deliver therapy using culturally responsive methods that respect clients’ backgrounds and histories.
• Effective interpersonal skills to establish therapeutic relationships with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in using EHR systems and various software applications for documentation and communication.

• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions and facilitating support groups.
• Knowledge of community resources and the ability to refer clients for additional support or services.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.
