Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant at Lava Heights Academy in Toquerville, Utah
 
Lava Heights Academy is a residential treatment program provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness and violence. They graduate from Falcon Ridge Ranch as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for their future. 
 
Pay: $20.00 per hour.
 
Perks & Benefits: Regarding insurance coverage:  You will be eligible for Medical insurance on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. You will be eligible for the rest of the Rite of Passage Benefits Package immediately after 90 days of full-time employment., and 403b match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment, Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues and more! What you will do: As the Medical Assistant you will be working as a staff member of the Student Services team. Primarily responsible for serving as an assistant to the entire Student Health Services Department. Coordinates the flow of students to be seen by the health care professionals within program and the scheduling of students to be by outside health care professional. The Medical Assistant conducts student medical appointment transports when necessary.
 
To be considered you should: Be empathetic, patient, consistent, and compassionate, have an honest work ethic, and treat others with respect ~ Have a Certification as a Medical Assistant ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Have a HS Diploma ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
 
Schedule:
8:00 am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour break (8 hour Shift).  
5 days working and 2 days off, coordinated through supervisor.
