Food & Beverage Team Member

Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort is looking for a variety of restaurant positions to be filled year-round and seasonal.
We are looking for positive and hardworking people for a once-in-a-lifetime experience near one of the greatest National Parks in the Country, Zion! Any previous restaurant experience is a plus but we can train staff on any of these positions. We need customer service-oriented people who want a fun and rewarding experience helping guests in the food and beverage department. We have positions for our full service restaurant casual dining at Ponderosa Eats, as well as different F&B outlets right on property.
What you will be doing:
  • Greet guests in a friendly and informative manner, answer all guests questions
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, kitchen policies, and resort general information
  • Up-sell menu items to guests
  • Use POS systems to put in to go orders, ensure correct financial transactions

  • Know how to run Barista Bar alone
  • Deliver plates in a quick and professional manner, ensure presentation and plating are consistent with restaurant standards
  • Clear tables quickly and efficiently, sanitize properly, and reset tables
  • Stock station with necessary items, ensure par levels are maintained and keep stations clean and organized
  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards in all operations
  • Ensure that all opening and closing duties are performed fully on a daily basis and that cleanliness and maintenance of buffet and other items are maintained

  • Working at other food outlets on property as needed. For example Trailhead and Taco Truck.

  • Prep all meal and line items for meal period

  • Provide highest quality and consistent cooking skills in all dishes prepared according to proper timelines and recipes given

  • Helping out with dishes

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Hourly rate is $13/hour plus tips/gratuities, Estimated hours per week 30-40 (5 days on 2 days off)
  • Onsite dorm style housing UPON AVAILABILITY (deposit of $200 and maintenance fee of $5 daily apply). All utilities included (laundry, wifi, water, power, sewer, etc).
  • Gratuities are significant in some positions
  • On shift free meal
  • Discounts on all resort outlets including F&B, Gift Shops, and Lodging (20%)
  • Access to world renowned recreation activities, including a pass to go through Zion for length of employment.
