Position: Hematologist/Oncologist
Location: Martinsville, VA
Job Type: Full-time
Seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join established and growing cancer care team. This opportunity offers a collaborative clinical environment with low call volume, strong system support, and a broad range of cancer cases-all in a close-knit, community-focused setting.
Practice Highlights:
  • Join a cohesive group with fellow Hem/Oncs and an experienced Nurse Practitioner
  • Radiation Oncology onsite and coordinated tumor boards held bi-weekly
  • Primarily outpatient role (95%) with low call volume-100% remote telephone call
  • Average 25-30 patients per day
  • Aria Oncology EMR system in use
  • Chemotherapy suite includes 10 infusion chairs and 2 quick chairs
  • Dedicated support team including pharmacist, tech, phlebotomist, lab, clinical director, and nurse navigators
  • Inpatient cases referred to regional academic centers; hospitalists manage admissions
  • Common cases include breast, lung, colon, prostate, head/neck cancers and a strong hematology panel
  • Strong referral pipeline from general surgery, GI, urology, pulmonology, ENT, and nephrology
  • ACOS-CoC accredited cancer program
