Security Clearance: Β 

  • Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance. Β 

Responsibilities:Β Β 

  • The Program Manager must have experience with Navy sustainment, modernization, and maintenance programs. Is responsible for managing and overseeing the performance and reporting on the contract. The PM will work directly with the program stakeholders and subcontractor personnel. Β 
  • Identify program needs such as resources, staff, or finances by reviewing project objectives and schedules.
  • Request and review project updates to ensure program deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Establish program goals, strategic plans, and objectives, as well as providing recommendations to the Government concerning decisions about personnel, resources, and levels of support associated with the task order.
  • Supervise, orient, and train contractor personnel working on the task order.
  • Develop and implement controls and recordkeeping for cost, schedule, and performance of task order.
  • Establish or implement task order goals, objectives, standards, and procedures in conjunction with the Government.
  • Implement corrective action plans to solve organizational, performance, quality, schedule, and management problems related to task order performance.
  • Establish work procedures and schedules to organize the daily work of contractor employees on the task order.

Experience: Β 

  • 10+ years of professional experience supporting US Navy ship programs. Β 
  • 7+ years of experience supervising US Navy ship programs.
  • Familiarity with engineering changes and modifications to Navy ships. Β 
  • Familiarization with ship lifecycle sustainment and modernization principles Β 
  • DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); DoD/DoN contracting; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel; Navy procedures and processes is desired. Β 

Education / Certifications Requirements: Β 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or financial related field. Β 
  • Program Management Professional Certification (PMP) Preferred. Β
